After a Mega budget movie “Enthiran”, Director Shankar’s next project will be the remake of the movie “Three Idiots”. As of now the film is titled as “Nanban”, starring by Illaya thalabathi “Vijay”, Jeeva and Srikanth. This will be Shankar’s first remake movie. He is one of the leading directors in Kollywood. So far he have directed “Gentle man”, “kadhalan”, “Indian”, “Jeans”, “Mudhalvan”, “Boys”, “Anniyan”, “Shivaji” and “Enthiran”. These heavy budget movies are block busters in Tamil Nadu. Now Shankar joined with Vijay. This increases our expectation. Music directed by “Harris”. He is joining with Harris after the movie “Anniyan”. Let us hope for good collection of songs for this movie. But this is a challenge for Director “Shankar” because most of the people would have seen the 3 IDIOTS. But the great question is “How he is going to handle the movie in order to satisfy all class of people?”
It is our culture to have more fights, romantic songs and a comedian to entertain the people. Unfortunately 3 Idiots is not that kind of Commercial movie. So their discussion will be how to include the additional fights and romantic songs to an existing story. Director Shankar is an expert for producing the photo copy of the stunt sequence from a Hollywood movie. But in this case he needs to think about the story he is going insert in order to make it commercial. Most probably we can expect some scenes like a Politian son studying in college or X lover of the heroin (As per the story of 3 Idiots) will arrange some dadas to kill Vijay. If something is added similar to what I mention, then sure it will disappoint ‘A’ class. On the other hand, all the idiots Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in 3 idiots have equal importance through out the movie. In our case Vijay should be treated in a special way, other wise thalabathi fans will get disappointed. Of course “Srikanth” and “Jeeva” are having less number of fans compare to vijay. Role of “Amir khan” will be played “Vijay” for sure. Question is about who will play the Role of “Madahavan” and “Sharman Joshi”. I can’t guess it. While thinking about heroine, Ileana is playing the role of “Kareena kapoor”. So far kollywood is unaware of Ileana’s acting. Her appearance in the KD movie has not impressed tamil audience. 3 Idiots movie is partially based on the story written by Chetan bhagat. I am damn sure that the story will be in an irregular shape compare to the original version. It is in the hands of the director Shankar to make the irregular version of 3 idiots as a commercial one. Let’s have a hope that Mr. Vijay will not have hard punch dialogue in this movie. He should not. Most of the scene I am expecting to see  in tamil version are  “Intelligent guy blabbering some in the stage”, “Marriage drop at climax” and “Drunken Idiots at the principal house at midnight”. Hope this scenes are no need to get altered in the new version. Remaking a commercial hit movie is not a big deal. As director “Raja” is an expert in directing those. But remaking the classic movies like “3 Idiots” is definitely a big challenge. Dr. Shankar needs to overcome the challenge. He should give a good feast to all kind of classes. Vijay is busy in doing the movie “Velayutham”. Shooting of the movie “Nanban” will be started once the Velayudam has been completed. After a long time people will be seeing a tamil movie having three heroes at the silver screen. Shankar usually takes 2 years for a movie. What about this project?
